ST has developped HP cells made of synthetic sapphire (Al2 O3) to be used up to 500 bar in a wide range of temperature -40 to +200°C). These cells are dedicated to the study of physico-chemical phenomena requiring integral visual observation and/or the use of optical phenomena using coherent or non coherent light for measurement or characterization.

SIMULATION OF GAS REINJECTION INTO THE WELL AND FLUID BEHAVIOUR
The Swelling is the latest generation of equipment dedicated to High Pressure studies. It enables simulation of oil or gas fluid behaviour during oilfield life.
Thanks to the reversal of the cell control system, il also enables to carry out a new generation of environment-friendly studies.

IFT CELL – InterFacialTension Cell
Measurement of interfacial tensions by pendant drop method, measurement of contact angles between liquid/solid.
Our cell with a huge field of view can measure the interfacial tensions liquid/liquid, gas/liquid and liquid/gas by the pendant drop method, and also the contact angles between liquid/solid.
Since emulsions are the main problem on field production, our FC200-200 has been designed for inhibitor research. After real dynamic production of several phases mixtures, our equipment enables to perform measurement of the time separation of these different phases.
